ITF calls for opening of all Yemeni ports

SANAA, Oct. 21 (YPA) – The Union of International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) called on Sunday to open and neutralize land, sea and air ports in Yemen, declaring its solidarity with the Yemeni people who are exposed to the siege.

At the conclusion of the 44th conference held in Singapore with the participation of 2,400 participants representing more than 600 international trade unions, the Union called for the United Nations to open all ports and keep them away from the war on Yemen.

The Union stressed on the freedom of movement, the transfer of goods, the introduction of medicines and humanitarian aid to Yemen.

Participants in the ITF Congress include about 140 countries, representing more than 600 trade unions, with more than 19 million members.
