Endowments ministry condemns targeting mosques in Hodeidah

SANAA, Oct. 21 (YPA) – The Ministry of Endowments and Guidance condemned on Sunday the continuation of the coalition countries in targeting mosques, the latest bombing of two mosques in Hodeidah city.

The ministry said in a statement that the total number of mosques targeted by the coalition in Hodeidah are more than one hundred and twenty-two mosques, while the number of mosques targeted in all provinces since the beginning of the war are more than one thousand and 19 mosques, mostly heritage.

The statement condemned the shameful silence of the international organizations concerned with the protection of heritage and Islamic institutions, which increased the alliance’s arrogance and delusion in bombing all Islamic sanctities in an attempt to obliterate Yemen’s religious identity.

The statement called on the Islamic countries and international organizations to take a position that criminalizes the coalition and its systematic targeting of mosques, and work to stop the fighting.
