Foreign Ministry condemns coalition’s hindering of deportation Ethiopian immigrants

SANAA, Oct. 19 (YPA) – An official in the Foreign Ministry on Friday condemned the Saudi-led coalition forces of preventing the deportation of a number of Ethiopian immigrants by the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

In a statement obtained by Yemen Press Agency, the official said that the ship is carrying 134 Ethiopian immigrants, moved from the port of Hodeidah on Monday (October 15th) and was intercepted by the coalition and was not allowed to return to the port after running out of fuel, water, and food.

He demanded that the coalition allow the ship to go to Djibouti and not obstruct it again.

The official stressed that these actions are not new for the Saudi-led coalition, which has been targeting refugees and migrants since the beginning of the aggression against Yemen.

He pointed out that the actions carried by the coalition’s States led by Saudi Arabia is a hindrance to humanitarian action and are against the conventions on the rights of migrants.
