Turkey gives Riyadh until tomorrow to allow its investigators to enter Saudi consulate in Istanbul: Yenisafak newspaper says

SANAA, Oct. 13 (YPA) – The Turkish authorities have given Riyadh until Sunday to allow investigators to enter the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, otherwise the consul and Saudi diplomats in Istanbul will be expelled from the country, Yenisafak, Turkish Daily Newspaper reported on Saturday.

Negotiations between Ankara and Riyadh are continuing to allow Turkish investigators to inspect the consulate building and the House of the Saudi consul concurrently, as investigators believe that the missing journalist Jamal Khashoggi was buried in these sites after he was killed and dismembered, the newspapers said.

Regarding the Saudi delegation which came to Turkey to participate in the investigation, the newspaper said that the 11-person delegation visited the consulate on Saturday, and stayed for about half an hour and then left towards their residence.

The newspaper said that the joint committee consisting of the Saudi delegation and the Turkish authorities would hold a meeting with the Turkish investigators and security to discuss a plan on how to get into the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.
