Court in Egypt issues sentences reach to death, to life imprisonment against condemned in attacks against churches

ALEXANDRIA, 11 Oct. (YPA) – A court in the Alexandria province in Egypt sentenced to death on Thursday 17 alleged convicted in attacks against three churches in the country.

It sentenced eight others to 15 year imprisonment and to 10 years for other condemned in the issue.

Two defendants convicted in the case who had been dead dead before the sentence issued by the court.

Three attacks targeted three churches for Copts in Egypt, one attack is Mar Gorgeous church in Egyptian province of Tanta was targeted by Daesh on April 9, 2017, another attack targeted Marcos church in Alexandria and the third targeted Marcos Cathedral in the center of Cairo, which led to kill more 70 persons and injuring nearly 200 others.
