Southern council calls for handing over military regions to Hadrami elite

HADRAMOUT, Feb. 20 (YPA) – The so-called Sothern Transitional Council called on Tuesday for integrating the 1st and 2nd military regions located in Hadramout province handing them over to the so-called Hadrami elite forces.

 

This move by the southern council, which is backed by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), aimed mainly to control military camps that still loyal to the military general Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar, who is holding his grip on the oil and fishing resources in the province.

 

A statement was issued by the council confirmed the council’s full support for the military campaign carried out by Hadrami elite forces, which aims to purge the province of the so-called remnants of terrorism.

 

It considered the integration of the two military regions is essential and important in order to complete the war against Al-Qaeda terrorists.
