New wildfires erupt in Northern California

SANAA, Sept. 8 (YPA) – Firefighters continued their efforts to contain a new wildfire in Northern California which have come to Friday for about 10,000 hectares of land in two days, News outlets reported on Saturday.

The fire dubbed “Delta Fire”, and it was the last in a series of wildfires that swept the region this summer, and officials said it was intentional.

The authorities closed a major highway and issued orders to evacuate some areas in the way of the fire.

The fire was first reported in the Lakehead area, 240 (kilometers) north of the state capital Sacramento and at the heart of the Shasta-Trinity National Forest on Wednesday.

The authorities closed a large part of the main interstate-5 highway along the western coast of Canada to Mexico, to prevent motorists from being trapped by the fire.
