Southern activist calls for arresting ministers of Hadi gov’t in Aden

ADEN, Sep.3 (YPA) – A southern Yemeni activist and politician on Monday called for besieging Masheeq Palace and putting the exiled Hadi’s government under house arrest in the southern port city of Aden.

The political activist Anis al-Sharaf said on his account on Twitter,” The civil disobedience is useless in the absence of any presence of the state in the southern provinces, except by ending the sources of funding the government of Hadi.”

Al-Sharafi called for “the formation of a local government in order to settle the situations in the southern provinces and engage in a dialogue with the north government in Sanaa.”

The city of Aden, and the capitals of the southern provinces have been witnessing demonstrations and angry protests, against the poor economic and security conditions, since the control of the Saudi-Emirati coalition forces over Yemen’s southern provinces in the second half of 2015.
