6.3 magnitude quake rocks Indonesia’s Lombok Island

SANAA, Aug. 19 (YPA) – A powerful earthquake measuring 6.3 on Richter scale hit Indonesia’s island of Lombok on Sunday.

The quake came few weeks after a devastating earthquake killed more than 460 people, the US Geological Survey said.

The quake was centered southwest of Belanting town at depth seven kilometers, in East Lombok, and residents from the east said they felt the tremor.
