Khartoum calls on EU and Troika to support peace deal in southern Sudan

SANAA, Aug. 13 (YPA) – The Sudan called the European union’s (EU) states and Troika’ member states to support a peace deal recently signed between the rival parties in southern Sudan.

Spokesman of Sudan foreign minister Gharib Allah Khidir on Monday said in a statement that Sudan foreign minister El-Dirdeiry Mohamed Ahmed met earlier Troika’s states ambassadors and EU in Khartoum in which he briefed the ambassadors on the result of meeting of Foreign Affairs ministers of IGAD states’ members.

Khadir said that the minister called on the international community to support the peace settlement and urged Troika’s states to support peace deal sponsored by IGAD states.
