Report: Yemen army inflicts Saudi troops heavy losses over 24 hours
SANAA, Aug. 12 (YPA) – The Yemen army carried out military operations, including missile, artillery and sniping attacks, to frustrate US-backed Saudi-led coalition troops infiltration during the past 24 hours, according to military reports combined by Yemen Press Agency on Sunday.
• In Jizan border province:
A ballistic missile, Bader-1, was fired toward new camp.
Gatherings of Saudi soldiers were targeted by artillery shells in east of Jahfan.
A missile, Zilzal_1, was fired toward gatherings of Saudi soldiers in Mash’el site.
The army stormed and then controlled sites in the east of Dood mount, killing and injuring dozens of militiamen, including Sudanese.
Artillery shelling targeted gatherings of Saudi soldiers in Jabari site, Sawda and Hamiah centers.
• In border province of Najran:
A military vehicle, loaded with militiamen, was destroyed by an explosive device in Ajasher desert.
Artillery force of the army targeted gatherings of militiamen in Sawh area.
A military vehicle was destroyed by an explosive device, killing all its crew.
Three of the militiamen were killed in an explosive device bombed in front of Athiaq near Boqea desert.
Artillery force shelled gatherings of Saudi soldiers in Raqabat Marash and Manara of Najran.
• In Asir border province:
Missile and artillery bombing targeted gatherings of militiamen in front of Alb border crossing.
• In Taiz province:
A UAE armored vehicle was destroyed in Waziaiah front by a guided missile, killing all its crew.
The army repelled an infiltration of militiamen at Habshi mount, killing and wounding dozens.
• In Yemen’s western coast:
Seven of the militiamen were shot dead by sniper unit of the army.
An armored and a military vehicle were smashed by explosive devices in the south of Faza, killing all the crews.
• In Jawf province:
Gatherings of militiamen were targeted by katyusha rockets in Maslup front.
• In Hajjah province:
Artillery force of the army shelled gatherings of militiamen in Medi desert and north of Nar mount of Haradh.
• In Lahj province:
The army repelled an infiltration of Saudi-backed militiamen in Eyrim area of Qubaita district, smashing a military vehicle and inflicting the militiamen heavy losses in lives and equipment.
