Pro-coalition Gen. Mohsen injured, other leaders killed in Marib front

SANAA, July 18 (YPA) – The General Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar, loyal to Saudi-led coalition, was injured on Wednesday and other military leaders were killed in Marib front, a military source told Yemen Press Agency.

The Gen. Mohsen was on a field visit to Marib front, when forces of the Yemeni army attacked his motorcade, the source said.

The former military attaché at the Yemeni embassy in Bahrain, Brigadier General Mohammed Mohammed Saleh al-Ahmar, was killed in the attack along with several of his escorts, the source added.

The attack came after an accurate intelligence operation, during which the army were able to destroy three military vehicles accompanying Mohsen’s convoy, according to the source.

Earlier the day, Defense Ministry in the government of the exiled resigned president Hadi, announced the death of Brig. Gen. Mohammed al-Ahmar.
