Humanitarian Affairs official meets EU official in Hajjah

HAJJAH, July 18 (YPA) – The Director of the National Authority for the Administration and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Hajjah province, Alan Ali Fadhail, discussed on Tuesday with the Technical Officer of the European Union Humanitarian Aid Project the humanitarian situation in the province and the needs of the displaced persons.
In the meeting, Fadhail said that the services provided to the displaced are not at the required level, which requires donor organizations to provide more assistance and support the official efforts to improve the services provided to the displaced.

Fadhail added that the outbreak of cholera in Kahlan al-Sharaf, Aflah al-Sham and Kushar districts is a serious indicator that requires rapid action to contain the epidemic, which has claimed the lives of hundreds of citizens in the past .

For his part, European official stressed on the keenness of the European Union to expand and develop its interventions in the province in line with the needs.
He added that the purpose of his visit to the province is to evaluate the projects carried out by the partners of the Union and how to benefit from it.
