Yemen army attacks coalition-backed militias in Lahj

LAHJ, July 5 (YPA) – The Yemeni army forces on Thursday launched an offensive on the positions of the coalition-backed militias in Lahj province, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The offensive targeted the militias’ positions in Karash district which resulted in controlling several positions in the district, the official added.

Dozens of the militias were killed and injured in the attack, the official confirmed.

Earlier on Wednesday, the army forces were able to secure Tabat Asila and the eastern Da’ar area in Hamir Front in Maqbanah district of Taiz province, killing and injuring dozens of militias as well as destroying a military vehicle belonging to them.
