Yemeni Telecom: Over 80 % of the international Internet capacity is gone out of service

SANAA, July 5 (YPA) – The Yemen Public Telecommunications Corporation (PTC) announced on Wednesday that more than 80 percent of the international Internet capacity has gone out of service after the fiber optic cable has been exposed to three simultaneous segments, an official in the Corporation said in a statement obtained by Yemen Press Agency on Thursday.

The three simultaneous segments came after vandalism operations, said the official.
The official pointed out that the technical teams of the Corporation is repairing the cable and will restore service to normal in the coming hours, expressing their regret to the participants to exit more than 80 percent of the Internet capacity.
