Pro-coalition commander killed in Taiz

TAIZ, July 4 (YPA) – A military commander loyal to the Saudi-led coalition was killed in Taiz province, a military source in the province told Yemen Press Agency.

The source confirmed that the commander of the artillery forces in  4th Infantry Brigade Lieutenant Awad Abdul Latif al-Namr was killed in the district of Hifan in conformations with the Yemeni army forces.

Al-Namr and group of coalition-backed militias tried to carry out infiltration attempts towards a strategic site near the mountain of “Saeed Taha” in strategic Dhabab valley of in Hifan district, which lead to his death with a large number of the militias.

He was injured during the past period by the Yemeni army fire in Jabal al-Riyami during his fighting in Bani Ali area of Al-Aaboos district.
