FM meets UN Humanitarian Coordinator

SANAA, July 3 (YPA)- Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf met on Tuesday with Resident Representative of the United Nationals and Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen, Lise Grande.

In the meeting, Sharaf reviewed the humanitarian situation of internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Hodeidah province, stressing the importance of focusing on supporting them in light of the current increasing challenges left by the aggression.

The minister confirmed his ministry’s readiness to cooperate fully with the humanitarian organizations operating in Yemen to enable them to carry out their activities.

For her part, the UN official referred to the most important activities to be carried out by the organizations in cooperation with the local units concerned for the IDPs, including the provision of food and repair of damage to infrastructure.
