Yemen army foils Saudi-backed militias’ infiltration in Asir

ASIR, June 10 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Sunday foiled infiltration attempts of Saudi-backed militias in Asir province, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The official added that the militias stepped its military offensive in a bid to recapture Alib border crossing, but failed to make any achievements on the ground.

Dozens of militias were killed and others injured in the assault, the official said.

The Yemeni army stepped up its offensive against sites and gatherings of US-backed Saudi-led coalition forces and militias in the western coast fronts.

Earlier, the Yemeni army fired up ballistic missile “Qaher M2” type towards gatherings of Saudi-backed militias in the western coast.

Military official confirms that Qaher M2 hit its target accurately, causing deaths and injuries in the militias’ ranks.

This came after the Yemeni army’s spokesman vowed to wage a new tactical military operation against the Saudi-led coalition and its militias in the western coast front.
