ADEN, Jan. 30 (YPA) – Yemen’s Muslim Brotherhood (Islah party) on Tuesday accused the United Arab Emirates (UAE) occupation forces of backing southern separatists in taking over the country’s southern port city of Aden, Islah leader Mahran al-Qubati said in a statement to media.

Al-Qubati, who is the commander of the Aden-based 4th Brigade of the Presidential Protection Forces, which are run by Saudi-based resigned President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi, said the UAE forces took part in attacking and seizing the 4th brigade.

Earlier the day, the UAE-backed southern separatist groups seized control of Aden and forced exiled Hadi’s government to flee into exile.

Death toll from Aden clashes between the rival forces has increased to 36 and the number of wounded to 141 since Sunday.
