Rain of varying intensity expected within coming hours: NCM

SANAA, Sept. 23 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expected scattered rain of varying intensity on most of Yemeni provinces within the coming 24 hours.

In its weather forecast, the center affirmed, that the rain fall would prevail over the interior plateaus, mountainous heights of the provinces of Lahj, Taiz, Ibb, Al Dhalea, Rayma, Al Mahweet, Hajjah, Dhamar, Sanaa, Amran, and Saada, as well as and coastal areas, with strong winds continuing on the Socotra Archipelago and the Gulf of Aden.

It indicated the possibility of scattered rain on parts of the western coasts and the interior areas adjacent to them, and on parts of the interior heights adjacent to the southern and eastern coasts of the provinces of Mahra, Hadramout, Shabwa and Abyan.

The center alerted citizens in areas expected to fall rain from the waterways and valleys, advising motorists to drive carefully on mountainous roads due to the decreased horizontal visibility.
