Iranian Parliament Speaker: “We are now standing on Israel borders”

TEHRAN, Sept. 22 (YPA) – Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, on Wednesday said “After Israel was thinking of approaching our borders, now we are standing on its borders in the Golan.”

“The Israeli enemy thought he can approach our front lines in Jalawla, Iraq, a kilometer away from our borders, but today he is afraid of our presence in the Golan, only kilometers away from his border,” Qalibaf added In the ceremonies commemorating the Holy Defense Week (Commemoration of the start of the Iran-Iraq war).

He pointed out that the Israeli enemy had wanted to occupy Tehran, and “now, it became at this situation..This proves the greatness of the Islamic revolution.”

Qalibaf continued, saying: “Even whoever adopts Western regressive ideas at home (Iran) must understand that honor and dignity in this world and the hereafter can only come through leaning on Islam and the people, exerting efforts and hard work, and adhering to the culture of altruism and martyrdom.”
