Saudi Arabia says drone attack targeted Abha Airport

GULF, Sept. 15 (YPA) – Saudi Arabia said on Wednesday that an attack with a booby-trapped drone targeted Abha International Airport, southwest of the Kingdom.

The Saudi “Al Ekhbariya” TV channel quoted the Saudi-led coalition as saying: “A drone was intercepted and destroyed while it was targeting Abha Airport.”

The coalition continued: “We are dealing with sources of threats firmly to protect civilians and civilian objects.”

No party has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
