Aden witness acute shortage of fuel supplies

ADEN, Sept. 12 (YPA) – Dozens of cars have lined up at oil stations in Aden city, south of Yemen, after several stations closed suddenly.

A number of motorists stated on Sunday they were surprised by the closure of the stations selling oil derivatives, under the pretext of a shortage of fuel supplies.

They affirmed a price per gallon of 20 liters reached more than 15,000 riyals, despite the suffocating crowds in front of the stations.

Several citizens explained that black markets have flourished in the city, with some commercial stations closing their doors to citizens.

Aden city continues to experience a fuel crisis, off and on, after raising the prices of oil derivatives.
