Hadi government plans to move ministry of defense’s headquarters to Hadhramaut

MARIB, Feb. 26 (YPA) –  Hadi government plans to move its headquarters to one of the eastern regions, according to informed reports on Thursday.

Pro-Coalition media sources confirmed that the Hadi’s Minister of Defense, Mohammed al-Maqdashi, is overseeing the relocation of the ministry’s headquarters from Marib to the headquarters of the “First Military Region” in Hadhramaut Valley.

Ali Mohsen Al-Ahmar had assigned al-Maqdashi in January to oversee the preparation of the ministry’s new headquarters in Seiyun, the sources said.

The relocation of the Hadi ministry of defense comes as Sanaa forces have imposed sieges on coalition-controlled areas in Marib on the one hand, and an opportunity to move the military command center for Islah to the Hadhramaut Valley on the other.
