6 magnitude earthquake hits northern coast of South America

SANAA, Feb. 1 (YPA) –  A magnitude 6 earthquake on Monday hit Guyana, on the northern coast of South America.
Reuters quoted the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center as saying that the earthquake occurred at a depth of ten kilometers under the sea floor.

There were no reports of injuries or losses.

There was also no warning of a possible tsunami.
