New battalion defects from Tariq’s forces in West Coast

Hodeidah, Jan. 28 (YPA) – The United Arab Emirate (UAE) occupation forces and their militias have received a new military blow on Yemen’s west coast.

Informed local sources confirmed that Yahya Erik, Lieutenant Colonel and the commander of the 6th Battalion of the so-called Guards of the Republican  led by  Tariq Saleh funded by the UAE occupation on the west coast defected along with over 150 of his military personal and joined the Yemeni army in Hodeidah province.

The entire battalion announced their return to the ranks of the of the Yemeni army and Popular Committees with all their personal military equipment.

They returned home after the malicious facts and intentions of the Saudi-led aggression countries and their mercenaries in Yemen in general and in the west coast in particular were revealed.

The commander and his soldiers were received and welcomed by Hodeidah governor and officials of the intelligence of the fifth military region and the navy forces.

Hodeidah governor, Mohammad Ayyash Quhim, praised the role of the revolutionary and political leadership, and its keenness to issue a general amnesty and accommodate those who wish to return home by coordinating with the General Intelligence Division without any obstacles.

He also hailed all the collaborators who are still working in the ranks of the aggression, for their cooperation with the army and Popular Committees in facilitating the return of many deceived people and handover of military sites and weapon for the sake of nation and religion against invaders and mercenaries.

The entire battalion announced their return to the ranks of the of the Yemeni army and Popular Committees, in order to defend the homeland against Saudi-led aggression forces, the sources said.

In 2020, Sana’a had already welcomed thousands of returnees who defected from the coalition side and joined the ranks of the National Salvation Government.
