Report: Pro-coalition wounded suffer humiliating expulsion from hospitals

SANAA, May 26 (YPA) – Dozens of wounded people from the southern Yemeni provinces loyal to Saudi-led coalition, who are in India for treatment, are suffering from difficult conditions after the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which has promised to treat them through the UAE Red Crescent, stopped its assistance to the wounded.

“The UAE, with the approval of Saudi Arabia, decided to stop the treatment of the wounded people in India,” informed sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The UAE embassy has asked the Indian authorities to expel the wounded southerners from the hospitals and deport them to their country, the sources added.

Hospitals of the southern city of Aden receives daily hundreds of dead southern soldiers backed by the UAE, who are fighting in ranks of the coalition troops against the Yemeni army forces in the west coast battles.

According to military sources, 120 dead soldiers belonging to the southern provinces arrived at Aden’s hospitals during the past days.

The UAE has established huge refrigerators accommodating a large number of dead in the Red Sea Mocha city of Taiz province, so that the dead are not transferred at once to Aden, the military sources added.

The leadership of the coalition, which is waging war on Yemen for more than three years, has not only involved thousands of Yemeni southerners in the internal battles to confront the Yemeni army and to fight at the Yemeni borders to protect Saudi Arabia, but also it has not fulfilled its obligations with the wounded individuals who were injured during the fighting.
