Saudi Arabia blocks Yemenis from Umrah

SANAA,April.4 (YPA)- For the fourth consecutive year, the Saudi authorities have decided to block Yemenis from performing the rituals of Umrah  for this year, despite earlier promises to open the registration through Hajj and Umrah agencies for those wishing to perform their Umrah, official sources told Yemen Press Agency.

Since the beginning of Saudi-led coalition aggression on Yemen, Saudi authorities have suspended Umrah visas for Yemenis coming from Yemen, while Yemeni residents in its territory were allowed.

“Saudi Arabia is politicizing the religious rituals and using Hajj and Umarh to achieve political gains,” said an official on condition of anonymity.
