Venezuelan President calls for lifting siege on Gaza Strip

SANAA, Nov. 30 (YPA) – Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro called for the lifting of the Israeli blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip since 2007.

Maduro said, in a statement published on Monday, on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People: “Venezuela raises its voice for the noble cause of the State of Palestine … enough of a blockade!”

It is noteworthy that the late Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez closed his country’s embassy in Tel Aviv, in opposition to the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip between 2008-2009.
