Violent bombardment hits STC sites in Abyan

ABYAN, Nov. 14 (YPA) – Violent confrontations renewed on Saturday between the Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia of the United Arab Emirates and the “Islah Party” militants, in Abyan province.

A local source reported that the confrontations renewed violently between the STC and Islah, in al-Tiriya and Sheikh Salem fronts, east of Zinjibar, the provincial capital, with various types of heavy and medium weapons.

The source explained that the Islah militants bombed the transitional sites in the al-Tiriya front with a number of Katyusha rockets and mortar shells, after the death of the brother of the “Third Brigade” commander, Haitham al-Zamaki, on Friday.
