Pro-coalition military commander killed in Abyan

ABYAN, Oct. 11 (YPA) – A prominent military leader in Islah Party loyal to Saudi-led coalition was killed on Sunday along with a number of his companions in Abyan province, in southern Yemen.

The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militias set up an armed ambush on Saturday in Ahwar area, targeting a military car of the reconnaissance officer of the second Marine Infantry Brigade Aref Al-Sulaymani while he was heading to Shoqra city, a local source said.

The ambush led to the killing of Al-Sulaymani and three of his escorts and the injury of six others, the source added.
