Citizen killed, child injured in drive-by shooting in Taiz

TAIZ, Sep. 30 (YPA) – A citizen was killed and a little girl wounded by unknown gunmen in areas under the control of Islah Party militias in Taiz city, southwest Yemen.

A local source in the city explained that masked gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire on a citizen in ‘Al-Mughtaribeen’ Street in ‘Al-Mudhafar’ district, killing him immediately.

The source added that the gunfire also hit a girl who was next to the citizen, while the gunmen fled.

During the past week, the areas controlled by the Islah militia in the city of Taiz witnessed a number of assassinations by unknown gunmen on motorcycles in several areas of the city.
