Army forces advances towards southern entrance to Marib city

MARIB, Sep. 23 (YPA) – The Yemeni army forces and popular committees waged on Wednesday fierce battles against Saudi-led coalition forces on ‘Al-Jouba front, south of Marib city, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The official explained that the army and committees managed during the confrontations to control strategic sites beyond ‘Al-Zakhem’ area and advance towards ‘Al-Matina’ junction.

“The army and committees are only eight kilometers from Al-Matina junction, the southern gate of Marib city,” he said.

He confirmed that the coalition forces suffered major collapses in Al-Jouba front, south of the city of Marib.
