Civilian died in  militias’ prisons in Marib

MARIB,  May 16 (YPA) – A civilian died in Saudi-backed militias’ prisons in Marib province,  an official told Yemen Press Agency on Wednesday.

The civilian,  Hassn al-Sharif was subjected to psychological and physical torture for two years of detention and then died in the prison.

The militias of the Saudi-led coalition kidnapped al-Sharif from a market  in  Marib on 22 May 2016 and remained hidden until his death.

The official said numbers of deaths due to torture and neglect in the prisons of militias were registered during the coalition’s war.
