Over 7 millions riyals of illegal currency seized in 3 provinces

PROVINCES, Aug. 11 (YPA) – The Police forces in Taiz, Ibb and Bayda provinces have arrested a number of persons accused of possessing and promoting illegal currency printed by Saudi-led aggression coalition, with the aim of harming the national economy.

The Police Forces branch in Khadir district in Taiz said that a sum of 6,050,000 riyals of illegal currency was seized in the possession of a person.

In Ibb province, the police forces branch in al-Dhahar district said that a person, 25 years old, was arrested with a large sum of money in illegal currency in his possession.

In the same context, the police forces branch in Bayda province captured a person, 26 years old, with two million riyals of illegal currency in his possession.

The seizures with the accused were referred to the competent authorities to take legal procedures.
