Army affirms opening Sanaa-Marib road to passengers

MARIB, July 14 (YPA) – Yemen’s army forces affirmed on Tuesday that the international road linking between Sanaa and Marib province opened safely to passengers and commercial goods, sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The sources said that initiative to open the road made by Sanaa authorities to facilitate the passage of travelers to and from Sanaa, Marib, Jawf and other eastern provinces.

The opening of the international road linking with the provinces came after five years of closure due to the war waged by the Saudi-led aggression coalition on Yemen, while the main road to Marib is still closed due to the armed confrontations.

According to the statements of the commander of the Military Intelligence Abu Ali al-Hakim, storming and taking over the city of Marib would be a matter of time, and that the army forces are prepared to make a decision in the event of tribal mediation fails.
