2 policemen killed in shooting in Texas

SANAA, July 12 (YPA) – Two policemen were killed during a shooting in the American city of McAllen, Texas, while chasing a suspect, ABC TV reported.

“The two police officers were shot dead on the southern side of the city and they were taken to a hospital in the area,” said Lieutenant Christopher Olivares, a spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Security sources indicated that the suspect, Udon Ignacio Camarillo, is 23 years old, explaining that he opened fire when the two officers tried to arrest him.

Police stated that the suspect committed suicide after killing the two policemen, and that he had a criminal record with the security authorities, and had been arrested in the past.
