London witnesses major demonstration against war on Yemen

LONDON, July 6 (YPA) – The British capital, London, witnessed on Sunday a massive demonstration condemning the war on Yemen.

Hundreds of people gathered in front of the BBC building, as a starting point, and then headed to the Cabinet headquarters, holding up Yemeni flags and banners reading: “Justice for Yemen” “Save Yemen”, “Boycott the UAE”, “Stop Saudi Arabia”.

The participants in the demonstration, which is the largest among the previous demonstrations against the war on Yemen, chanted slogans and chants condemning Saudi-led coalition’s crimes against Yemenis and rejecting the blockade imposed on the country.

Activists indicated, in illustrative leaflets distributed to the participants in the demonstration, to the violations committed by the coalition in Yemen, which caused the killing and wounding of thousands and the displacement of millions, in addition to the famine and diseases that spread as a result of the siege.

Demonstrators called, through their speeches, on the British government and the European Union governments to stop selling arms to Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
