Yemeni riyal witnesses relative stability in southern provinces

SANAA, July 2 (YPA) – The Yemeni riyal exchange rate on Thursday witnessed a relative stability against foreign currencies after a day of its significant decline in the southern provinces to reach 754 riyals for one dollar in Aden province, and 746 riyals in Hadramout province.

This came as a result of the tension between the armed factions loyal to Saudi-led coalition and the arrival of a new batch of the funds printed without cover at Mukalla port in Hadramout.

However, the Yemeni riyal remained stable in the capital, Sanaa, at 617.5 Yemeni riyals per dollar, while the average price of dollar on the black market reached 605 riyals.

The dollar price in the Central Bank of Yemen in the capital Sanaa continued at 250.5 riyals, and in other Yemeni banks in the capital it remains stable at 498 riyals.
