Health Ministry in Sanaa reveals amount of diesel needed by hospitals

SANAA, June 10 (YPA) – Ministry of Public Health and Population of the National Salvation Government on Tuesday revealed the amount of diesel needed by the hospitals per month, and the severe consequences of decreasing or lacking the quantity, including the suspension of work in light of the Corona pandemic.

“The hospitals’ need amounts to 1.5 million liters of diesel per month, not to mention private health facilities and health units, ” director of the services department in the Ministry of Health said.

This comes in light of the continuation of Saudi-led coalition, according to the Yemeni Petroleum Company, in holding 15 ships loaded with oil derivatives off Jizan port for various periods, some of which up to 78 days, despite the completion of the procedures of the verification and inspection mechanism in Djibouti.

The company explained, in a statement issued Tuesday, that no oil shipment was allowed to enter the port of Hodeidah since the arrival of the ship “Destia Pucci” to the port on May 23, which was held by the coalition for a period exceeding 50 days despite obtaining a UN permit.
