50,000 people perform Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque

QUDS, June 5 (YPA) – The Islamic Endowments Department in Quds city on Friday announced that 50,000 people performed Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque for the first time after a closure that lasted more than two months due to Corona pandemic.

Sheikh Omar Al-Kiswani, director of Al-Aqsa Mosque, said that the worshipers performed Friday prayers today in the courtyards of the mosque and in its covered chapels and that there was a great commitment to the rules of divergence to prevent the spread of the Corona epidemic.

He added in a telephone conversation with Reuters “These large numbers confirm the longing of worshipers to the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.”
