Video: Aden residents protest against lack of basic services

ADEN, May 31 (YPA) – Dozens of protesters continued their marches Sunday denouncing power cuts and the deterioration of public services in the southern port city of Aden.

According to the sources, residents in crater and Mansoura districts held an uprising against in protest against the lack of essential and basic services such as health and electricity services in the city.

Protesters blocked the main streets and set fire to rubber tires to cut off traffic inside the city.

In Al-Ma’ala, residents took the streets and public streets and made it as a place to sleep due to high temperatures and power outages.

On April 26th, the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council declared a state of emergency and self-rule of southern provinces, which was rejected regionally and internationally.
