Islah, STC break Saudi-led truce in Abyan

ABYAN, May 25 (YPA) – The city of Zinjibar, Abyan province, has witnessed on Monday mutual artillery shelling between Hadi forces and the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia, which was considered a new violation of the Saudi truce in the occupied province, local sources said.

According to the sources, powerful explosions rocked the city, with renewed shelling between al-Islah militias and the STC militias on the outskirts of the city.

Residents said the mutual shelling is a new start of bloody clashes between the coalition’s armed factions in the city, in a violation of the Saudi-Led truce between the factions.

The warring parties agreed to a three-day temporary truce, under Saudi pressure and tribal mediation.
