Head of STC branch escapes assassination attempt in Socotra

SOCOTRA, May 4 (YPA) – The head of southern transitional council (STC)’s branch escaped on Sunday from an assassination attempt in Socotra island, sources told Yemen Press Agency.

Militiamen of Islah party were riding military pick-up vehicles attacked the leader Raafat Ibrahim’s home.

The guard of the house responded to the gunmen, but without any injuries.
