Parliament protests against allowing flights to Yemen

SANAA, April 1 (YPA) – The Yemeni Parliament on Wednesday expressed its protest against allowing various flights to Yemeni airports, despite the suspension of all flights in most countries of the world, in contradiction with the world’s tendencies to confront the Corona virus pandemic.

The Parliament affirmed that this would double the burdens on the Yemeni people in light of the continued aggression and blockade for more than five years.

The House called on the expatriates and Yemenis residing abroad to stay in their places of residence and to follow the instructions in order not be held during their return until the pandemic is over.

In the same context, the Parliament decided to direct a letter to the government and the concerned authorities to work to implement the directives of the Supreme Political Council regarding the release of all prisoners and detainees who did not have any criminal cases, including prisoners of conscience and insolvent, in the context of precautionary measures to confront the Corona virus.
