Shura council condemns coalition crimes against Yemeni people

SANAA, Feb. 16 (YPA) – Shura Council strongly condemned on Sunday the ongoing horrific massacres committed by the Saudi-led aggression coalition against the Yemeni people for the straight fifth year.

The council said in a statement that targeting civilians in Jawf province by the coalition fighter jets is war crime, and in retaliation for its successive defeats by the Yemeni army on various battle fronts.

The council’s members held the United Nations, Human Rights Council and the international community responsible for shameful silence towards the coalition’s crimes and violations in Yemen.

The statement called on the United Nations to form independent commission to probe into the aggression coalition crimes against the Yemeni citizens.

On Saturday, the coalition fighter jets carried out airstrikes on groups of citizens and theirs houses in al-Maslub district of Jawf, killing and wounding 40 citizens.
