Mothers of abductees call on human rights orgs to do their duty towards detainees in Aden

ADEN, Jan. 28 (YPA) – The Association of Mothers of Abductees on Tuesday called on local and international human rights organizations to do their duty towards the abductees, detainees and forcibly disappeared in prisons of the militias loyal to the UAE and Saudi Arabia in Aden province.

“The issue of the kidnapped and those forcibly disappeared in Aden is at the heart of your work,” the Association said in a tweet on Twitter, addressing human rights organizations.

In this regard, the Association explained that it had documented the presence of 56 kidnapped and forcibly disappeared in Bir Ahmed prison only, among them are sick and mad prisoners.

The Association called on human rights organizations to visit the Bir Ahmed prison in Aden, to cooperate with the relevant authorities to prevent the spread of the disease among detainees, and to provide health care for them.

It appealed to international human rights organizations to pressure to reveal the fate of the forcibly disappeared people and to enable them to get their human rights.
