23 Saudi-backed militiamen gunned down in several fronts

SANAA, April 26 (YPA) – The Yemeni army’s snipers on Thursday killed and injured 23 of militiamen backed by Saudi-led coalition in separate sniping operations in several fronts, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The army’s snipers shot dead six Saudi-backed militiamen in fronts of Taiz province, while four others were gunned down in al-Zaghn front in Serwah district of Marib province.

In the coast fronts and Jawf province,13 militiamen were shot dead in sniping operations carried out by the snipers unit late on Wednesday, according to the official.

On Tuesday, the army said the snipers unit killed eight Saudi soldiers in the border fronts in Najran and Jizan, as well as gunning down a Saudi-backed militant in Asir and two others in Nehm district of Sanaa province.
