Saudi Arabia pledges to preserve Iranian pilgrims’ security, safety

SANAA, Dec. 9 (YPA) –Iran and Saudi Arabia on Sunday announced the signing of an agreement to preserve the safety and security of Iranians in the upcoming Hajj and Umrah season.

“The talks focused on preserving the dignity, security and safety of Iranian pilgrims,” Head of the Iranian Hajj Organization Ali Reza Rashidian said following talks with his Saudi counterpart Mohammed bin Saleh Banten.

Rachidian added that the talks also dealt with providing more facilities by Saudi Arabia for Iranian airlines to transport pilgrims.

Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Iranian pilgrims for their cooperation during the pilgrimage season last year and their commitment to devote themselves to worship, serenity and peace.
