Update: UAE-backed security belt’s commander killed in Aden

ADEN, Dec. 7 (YPA) – Unidentified gunmen on Saturday evening assassinated a senior commander of the UAE-backed security belt force in the port city of Aden, southern Yemen.

Sources reported that unknown gunmen killed Mohammed Saleh, deputy director of manpower of the security belt force, in front of his house in al-Mansoura district.

The city of Aden has witnessed many acts of killing and looting amid a catastrophic security failure and fierce clashes from time to time between militias loyal to the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
